Meet the Author
My name is Beccy, and I am the creator of Arthur and Freya Adventures.
But most importantly I am mummy to Arthur and Auntie to Freya.
Arthur is autistic with a speech disorder and has genuinely changed my life; I am both lucky and privileged to be his mama but also to watch the incredible power that friendship with his cousin Freya has had on his life.
My Job role is also Autism specific, as I am an Autism Pathway navigator, working on the NHS autism diagnostic pathway, helping hundreds of parents navigate the journey and providing advice, support and resources were needed.
Many of the stories you will read are based on our real-life adventures, with magical twists woven in, but the power of acceptance, kindness, and love between Arthur and Freya is very real.
I believe the path to acceptance for our neurodiverse little ones is by teaching the next generation of children at a young age that difference isn't scary, but magical when we all embrace each other and understand our differences. Building communities of kindness and acceptance, in a world that really needs it.
